So many people just blurt out that they want to know how to retrieve this or that from a table. We know that you're using a database, but the brand (SQL Server, Access, DB2, Oracle, FoxPro, etc) and version information is almost always relevant to our solution—not only in the approach to the problem, but also in the syntax of the proposed query or queries, potential limitations of the solution and, in some cases, maybe even a suggested change in architecture.
